Capacity Indicators for Local Service Businesses of all Types:
How to use local business service employees to create your own system of “task rabbit-type” jobs for people who are already at their jobs but have excess capacity.
There are many service jobs around where I live, and over the years I have worked at many different jobs in the service industry and I can tell you that there are often times when business is slow but you still have your crew there because it “might” pick up in another couple hours, or whatever it may be. Maybe you only intermittently get customers coming into your store and you have excess capacity.
What if there was an application or even something tied in with Google maps and their websites where it indicated these types of excess capacity opportunity hubs. You can create your own system of “task rabbit-type” jobs utilizing these excess capacity situations to drop off an old device and request that certain routine procedures be ran.
For example you could have a template for every time you get an email from the LinkedIn ProFinder Service requests that you want to respond to each one but you just don’t have the time. You know someone at the local Starbucks or 7-Eleven or the front desk of your local gym is going to be working a shift from 8 AM until 9 PM and is indicated to have excess capacity intermittently throughout his/her workday. So in the morning drop off the device with the simple template and routine instruction and then in the evening circle back and pick it up.
Or your at the gym and your personal trainer simultaneously preps you for a big meeting or presentation while encouraging your workout.
What do you think?
